Sheila O'Reilly Morgan was the wife of Forrest Morgan and the co-owner of the Dew Drop Inn. She was queen of the Winter Carnival in 1984.

Services set for Mrs. Sheila Morgan, former co-owner of Dew Drop Inn.

SARANAC LAKE — Services have been set for Sheila Morgan, 61, former co-owner of the Dew Drop Inn who died Monday, Dec. 19, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake after a long illness.

Calling hours will take place; from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Keough and Son Funeral Home in Saranac Lake.

A Bible vigil Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Church, with Rey. Mickey Demo officiating.

Burial will take place in the parish cemetery in May.

She was born in Montreal, Quebec, July 23, 1927, the daughter of James P. and Mary (Gallery) O'Reilly.

Mrs. Morgan was a resident of Saranac Lake since 1945.

She married Forrest W. "Dew Drop" Morgan Oct. 12, 1946, at Ascension Church in Westmount, Montreal.

With her husband she owned and operated the Dew Drop Inn in Saranac Lake for 42 years. They sold the business this fall. She was the Tri-Lakes area district circulation manager for the Press-Repubjican in the early 1980s.

She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks, a Charter member and past - president of the Women's Civic Chamber, worked with.the Kiddie Parade and the Fresh Air Fund, was a member of the Women's Bowling Association, past chairman of the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Committee, and was queen of the Winter Carnival in 1984.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include six sons, John F. Morgan of Lake Placid, Terrance O. Morgan of Las Vegas, Nev., Sean R. Morgan of Plattsburgh, Bryan T. Morgan of Norfolk, Va., Kevin M. Morgan of New York City, and Dermott P. Morgan of Japan; four daughters, Kelly Ann Morgan of Sananac Lake, Mrs. Herman (Colleen Anne) Fossi of Burlington, Vt., Mrs. Steven (Mary Bridget) Demers of Japan, and Casey Kathleen Morgan of Sugarbush, Vt.; and four grandchildren.

Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Leo (Elizabeth) Devin of Montreal; two aunts, and several nieces and nephews.

A son, James P. Morgan, died Feb. 8, 1981, in a bobsledding accident in Cortina, Italy. Two-brothers, John and James, and a sister, Margaret, also predeceased her.

Memorial donations may be made to the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Fund or the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home.
